Ukulele tuner questions
What is standard ukulele tuning?
G4 C4 E4 A4 (392, 261.63, 329.63 and 440 Hz). The G string is higher than the C string – this is called re-entrant tuning.
Is the tuning the same for soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles?
Yes, all three normally use G C E A. Baritone ukuleles are different (D G B E, like the top four guitar strings).
Why does my new ukulele go out of tune so quickly?
New nylon strings stretch for several days. Tune often during the first week and it will settle.
